How we're working together

We’re on a mission to get more people moving their bodies in a way that makes them FEEL great.

FRAME was born in 2009 with the simple mantra that getting fit should never feel like a chore and we’ve been putting the FUN back into fitness ever since. We believe in the power of sweet endorphins and the magical effects it can have on our mind and bodies.

Life can be complicated but getting your daily dose of endorphins shouldn’t be. You can show up to a live stream class from virtually anywhere or create your own timetable with our on-demand classes.

At Frame, we’re big believers in working out our mental health just like our physical health, we all have good days and bad days, and finding the right balance of rest and exercise whilst holding down a demanding job and home life can be hard if not impossible. More often than not we don’t all have our s**t together all of the time and that’s OKAY Framer.

We’re teaming up with Black Minds Matter, to offer free fitness classes, to help not only your physical health, but ensure a release of those sweet endorphins to make you feel GREAT. It’s been scientifically proven that moving can not only boost your mood but can also increase your self-esteem and reduce anxiety and stress.

Wednesday 20th January, 12:30pm

It was acceptable in the 80s and nothing’s changed now. Join Camilla, as she pump’s the 80s bangers! Bring your best moves and prepare to channel your inner Jane Fonda. All lycra and leg warmers welcome.

Dancing is the ultimate mood booster! It increases levels of the feel-good hormone serotonin and studies have shown it can help reduce stress and ease anxiety. That sometimes tricky choreography might just be keeping our brain young and agile! 80’s Aerobics is a fun mix of cardio and muscular strength and endurance so a real total body workout targeting all major muscle groups. The cardio is great for strengthening you heart and lungs while the muscular strength and endurance helps keep muscles and bones healthy. Targets glutes, core, arms and shoulders.

Wednesday 3rd February, 12:30pm

Bring your best energy in this gentle-moving class, designed to awaken every muscle. Kandy will lead you between postures to build up heat in the body.

Hatha has been defined in different ways but the ones Kandy applies to her teaching are Willful and Sun/Moon, which for her means to place your focus on the breath, asana (physical posture) and state of mind to find some balance. This brings you into the present moment to non-judgmentally see how you are on all levels and address your immediate state of being.

Monday 15th February, 12pm

Looking to start your strength journey? This beginner bodyweight strength class with Temi will help you nail your technique and understanding of the key strength moves while giving you enough down time to recover between sets. Temi is the British and European deadlift record holder so you know you’re in expert hands.

Strong in body, strong in mind. Building strength through resistance training can help with self-esteem. Being able to carry heavy loads with ease and smash a clean and press is great for confidence. Learning complex routines can help with brain training and memory!

After each class, there will be space to interact and talk with the instructor, as well as others from the Black Minds Matter community who join the session. If this isn’t your thing, you can of course leave after the class.

All classes are suitable for all levels, with modifications provided every step of the way.

The classes will be held on Zoom. To take part in the classes please sign up here. You will then receive the link to join the class, 2 hours before the class begins, so keep an eye on your inbox!

Getting to grips with the tech side of working out from home can be tricky. We’ve created this handy guide to help you get the best from your ‘at-home’ zoom class. After your first couple of classes, you’ll be a zoom pro!

Preparation is key!

Download Zoom.

If this is your first time using zoom make sure that you download it onto whatever device you’ll be using to watch your class or workshop. Do this as soon as you book your class so that you won’t be in a panic just before class.

Keep it handy.

There’s nothing worse than frantically searching for an email with the link 5 minutes before your class is due to start. We’ll send the link to your email 1 hour before the class begins, so you don’t need to search through your whole inbox to find it!

Early bird.

Login to your class 10 minutes ahead of time so you can check your link, the sound and chat to our team if you need help on the tech set up. If you are working with an injury or are pre or postnatal please use the chatbox to let our team know.

Don’t be late!

Hopefully, you won’t have an issue getting from your bedroom to your living room on time but if that happens please note that we have a 10 minute cut off late policy and you will not be permitted to join the class.

At-home studio set up.

Make sure that you make some space for yourself at home. Push back the sofa or kitchen table to give yourself the most room possible. Check that you have any equipment that you might need for your class, like a mat for yoga, although most of our classes can be done without.

During class.

We love seeing your face but if you feel more comfortable with your camera off that’s cool. Once the class starts, everyone will be muted so that you can hear the instructor only. Please ensure you remain muted throughout the class unless prompted by your instructor. If you need to chat with us during class just use the chatbox.

After class.

WOOHOO you made it. Make sure you drink plenty of water and let your muscles recover.

My links not working.

If this happens it’s most likely an issue with Zoom itself you can check out their frequently asked questions.  If you need support from the Frame team email to ensure you have the correct link for the class.
