We’re kicking the week off with a vengeance, saying laters to single-use plastic bottle waters across all seven Frames studios. We realise we’re a little late to the party (sorry!) but we wanted to make sure we got it just right. We’re committed to introducing strategies for the long-term that will continue to have a positive impact as we grow. We’ve been busy behind the scenes implementing a series of sustainable practices, some of these you might have noticed like removing paper hand towels and introducing reusable water glasses and a few have taken us a little longer, but we’re officially on our way and we invite you, Framers, to come and join us on the journey!
Don’t be a statistic, join the revolution and say no more to single-use plastic bottles. Up your bottle game and invest in a S’well bottle, keep your drink cool for 24 hours and hot for 12. Made from BPA-free double walled stainless steel, S’well bottles are good for the planet inside and out.
NAB YOURS HERE!
We as a planet buy on average 1,000,000 plastic bottles per MINUTE, in the UK 38.5 million plastic bottles are used EVERYDAY, of those, only half, are recycled, while more than 16 million are discarded into landfill, burnt or simply make their way into the oceans every single day. If we continue to carry on at this rate we can say farewell to Nemo as its expected that by 2050 the oceans will contain more plastic than fish, impacting not only vast numbers of wildlife but scientists predict the impact on human health through toxic food chains could be catastrophic. We know it’s tough to put that number into perspective so imagine a rubbish truck full to the brim with plastic being dumped into the ocean every single minute…
Forty percent of all plastic produced is utilized for packaging, used just once before being discarded taking up to 500 years to decompose. Join us as we commit to removing all single-use plastics from Frame and help us get a little bit closer to reducing our environmental footprint.
We’ve busy behind the scenes implementing changes across all Frame studios, some of these you may have noticed like removing the paper hand towels in the bathrooms and introducing reusable glasses instead of paper cups and a few have taken us a little longer, like ensuring all our retail items are packaged in paper bags, phasing out the unnecessary use of plastic sleeves and introducing biodegradable and fully compostable food packaging.
PLUS ALL OF THIS…
We know we’ve still got a long way to go and we want you to join us on the journey if you’ve got any suggestions of things we could improve or implement be sure to get involved. Let’s all get our on David Attenborough on and make a difference.
