AcroYoga Workshop

Kickstart your weekend with a fun AcroYoga workshop to take you out of your head and into your body. You will be guided through basics of AcroYoga, learn some fundamental flows and have some time to play around with it. Come by yourself or bring a friend.

AcroYoga is a fun partner-practice which fuses yoga poses, acrobatic principles and creative sequencing. In this workshop, following a thorough yoga-based warm-up, you’ll be taken through the foundations of AcroYoga in terms of alignment, safe practice and counterbalance. You’ll learn a range of foundational steps before tying these together through short flows. We’ll finish with some time for play where you can explore specific steps further or use your creativity to find new transitions, before a thorough cool down.
This workshop is based on the AcroYogaDance syllabus and is tailored towards newbie acroyogis, but there’ll be something for every level to take away, so even if you’re more experienced in AcroYoga you’ll be offered plenty of challenge for your level.

Some experience in yoga is useful but not a requirement.

Sunday 14th April, 10.00am -11.30am with Julie Havelund-Willett and Eugene Van Der Westhuizen
