What makes your class so f'cking awesome?
I am someone that can’t do anything half hearted, it’s got to be full out and if you come to one of my classes you’ll see that. Be prepared for nothing but good vibes, motivation, banging music and a big ol’ smile from me.
What was your journey to becoming an instructor? How the hell did you get here?
I became an instructor in February of last year. I’ve always loved fitness and making myself better and thought, why not put this to good use! I already had the qualifications from my performing arts degree so it couldn’t have made more sense.
Who’s your fitness hero? Why?
My fitness hero has the be Mr Sean T from Insanity. That guy literally changed my life, from a overweight teen that had no confidence to where I am today. His workouts are intense, fun and always make you a better version of yourself!
What is your signature move / style?
I actually really love a push up. I think that it’s the core of fitness, I used to be so scared of them growing up and got embarrassed when I was asked to do them, but since changing my mindset and just doing them, I really found a love for them and can’t go a day without doing a set to make sure my body is right. An essential tip would be to make sure you’ve got that good flat posture, and go to your fullest depth.
What makes you, you?
I am just a big old heap of energy really, I love people and just want everyone to feel good about themselves. I come from a musical theatre background and recently toured the UK with Motown The Musical If I’m not in the gym with you, I’m singing and dancing on stage!
What does your downtime look like?
My downtime looks like the opposite of the gym, just chilling and playing games. I love me some games!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Comparison is the thief of joy!
