Dan Breakwell

Brummie Boy

Dan – a west-midlands boy – moved to London in 2011 to pursue a career in musical theatre and he stumbled upon yoga. Initially he came to class just to zen-out, but the more he did the more zen he became until in March 2014 he flew to India and trained intensively with The Yoga People in ashtanga vinyasa and rocket yoga. Since then, yoga has taken front row and he has furthered his training in yin yoga, chakra studies and meditation. Dan is passionate about introducing others to the world of yoga and what regular practice, passion and persistence can unlock. He teaches strong technical awareness through building solid foundations, he encourages his class to be bold and open minded and his intention is to empower students to release inhibition and to explore their limitless potential.

My teaching style is…
Supportive and nurturing, however, students will be encouraged to work hard to build strength and an awareness of the body and mind.

My ideal breakfast is…

Usually brunch by the time I wake up if I don’t have an early class. Pancakes with a bacon stack and maple syrup or sometimes fruit. Poached eggs, avocado & smoked salmon on sour dough toast would be my “healthy” alternative.

My biggest vice is…
Cheese and wine
