What makes your class so f’ing awesome?
A home away from home. A short amount of time entirely dedicated to yourself where you can feel completely at ease, comfortable and just enjoy being with yourself while in a safe, friendly environment. My aim is to bring you entirely back to yourself and show you how amazing you are, exactly as you are.
What is your signature move?
Navasana! In a flow style class I love to add in navasana (boat pose), it’s awesome for the core. Remember to zip the belly in, try to keep the spine lovely and long, relax the shoulders… and add a smile too – it makes it a whole lot easier!
What was your journey to becoming an instructor? How the hell did you get here?
After deciding to ditch the world of fashion marketing, I flew to Bali with all of 3 weeks to prepare myself and pack. I completed my 200 hour YTT in the middle of the lush, tropical jungle and never looked back. After completing further training in India I knew the only way forward was to continue on my journey as a teacher and it’s been without doubt the best decision of my life.
What does your downtime look like?
When I’m not teaching or practising you can find me inside with a good book or outside in nature, going for long walks in the sunshine and always eating a whole load of delicious food with friends and family.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Not sure if it’s advice, but I always live life by “everything happens for a reason” – slow down, enjoy the journey and it’ll all turn out as it’s meant to.
What makes you, you?
I don’t take life (or myself!) too seriously… the majority of the time you’ll find me smiling and/or laughing!
