What was your journey to becoming an instructor? How the hell did you get here?
I became an instructor at Frame after walking past Frame Shoreditch on my way to work for the longest time and always being intrigued. After building up my courage being invited to the audition I gave it a go. Walking into that audition I immediately knew I belonged!
What’s your favourite way to keep a healthy body and a healthy mind?
Do not starve yourself of the things that bring you joy. Surround yourself with them!
How does your choice of exercise fit/help your day to day life?
I manage a team in a busy environment outside of Frame. My classes at Frame mentally set me up in a positive mindset which in turn allows me to manage my team better.
What people think I don’t see when my back is turned…
Y’all can try and cheat me. But when you turn away from the mirror I may just be cheating you right back.
What does your downtime look like?
I spend so much time with people that my downtime is all about me, myself and I. I enjoy being alone switching off my phone and ‘trying’ not to answer emails.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Your body is always going to want to do the easiest thing during a workout so you have to train it and push through the hard moments. I applied this statement to my life and constantly push myself to be the best I can be in whatever I am doing.
Who’s your LIFE hero? Why?
Misty Copeland! Was always told no in her field and proved the world wrong. I admire her strength and persistence against any negative critique she received, proving you can do anything you put your mind to.
