What makes your class so f’cking awesome?
You are guaranteed to leave my classes feeling more centred, connected to your breath and a little more grounded. The vibe is a chilled energy and the beats match the vibe!
What was your journey to becoming an instructor?
Yoga has always been a love of mine but it took becoming completely burnout in a corporate career for me to take it seriously. The combination of the physical practice, breathwork and meditation helped me find myself again. I combine my yoga teaching and practice with my work as a nutritionist, specialising in women’s health and I absolutely love it.
What makes you, you?
I may seem serious, but I’m quick to smile and crack a joke and I’m an eternal optimist! I’m completely obsessed with oat milk matcha lattes - a daily essential for me!
What is your signature move / style?
My signature move is getting my students to return to their breath, taking a deep breath in through their nose and a deep breath out through their nose. I often say that our breath is our superpower and returning to our breath can help us positively change the way we feel really quickly.
What does your downtime look like?
Hanging out with my husband and son, spending time outdoors or having a great meal out all sound pretty good to me!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Enjoy the journey. Don’t become so focused on the destination that you don’t take the opportunity to soak in what’s happening on the way. As Ferris Bueller said: Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
