What makes your class so f’cking awesome?
Expect great music, a down to earth attitude, and clear and concise instructions so you know exactly what you should be feeling in your body, where and why!
What was your journey to becoming an instructor? How the hell did you get here?
My mum dragged me to yoga as a teenager after I kept complaining of a bad back. It was a class in a village hall and I remember thinking it was boring as! But she kept trying to get me to go and, after a while, as my back felt better I got hooked.
What is your signature move/style?
Lunge with your back knee on the floor. So good for getting into stuff that gets tight and week from sitting all day! Don’t just sink into your legs – draw your lower belly in and up to feel more stretch in your back hip, then also press your back foot down and feel your back thigh working a bit more.
What does your downtime look like?
Accidentally staying up all night with friends and then chilling the day after with my rescue pup Paulie.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
As an instructor don’t try and give your students anything except the stuff that resonates with you. Then the people that your classes will work best for will find you themselves – your vibe attracts your tribe!
If you weren’t an Instructor, what would you be??
I gave up a career in law to do this so I’d be back in the City in my pencil skirt and heels!
