What makes your class so f’cking awesome?
My teaching style is both calm and energetic. Each class is an adventure and an exploration that leads students through a gradual warm-up, to heat-building asana, then flows into an introspective windup so they feel centred and balanced. My sequences are thoughtfully structured, so one may discover the joy of mindful movement. I teach vinyasa flow that is suitable for all levels, ages or body types.
What was your journey to becoming an instructor? How the hell did you get here?
Following 16 years of personal practice, as I was balancing motherhood and a busy corporate career, I decided to enrol in a teachers training course. Soon enough I decided to listen to my heart and replaced my marketing hat with a yoga-teaching mat.
What’s your favourite way to keep a healthy body and a healthy mind?
Move as much as I can in anyway! Of course doing my own yoga, breathing and meditation practice. But also mixing as many types of movements as possible: walking, pilates, cycling, working with weights and even gardening – all help me in keeping a healthy mind and body. And no doubt having 3 active kids helps in keeping fit as well: jumping on trampoline, playing “It”, kicking a ball – here’s your HIIT session right there.
