GOOD THINGS HAPPEN WHEN YOU MOVE YOUR FRAME

Instructors

RACHEL PILCHER

What makes your class so f’cking awesome?

A sweaty workout with a big smile! Bangin’ playlist, challenges, a lot of fun and some terrible attempts at comedy! I want you to push yourselves and leave feeling strong, empowered and super proud, but I also want you to have the most fun and just enjoy yourselves – this is YOUR time!

What was your journey to becoming an instructor? How the hell did you get here?

I started coming to classes at Frame when I first started working in London and I was instantly hooked on the good vibes – I went on a mission to try as many classes as possible, soaking up all the information I could. During lockdown I knew I needed a career change and wanted to help others find their passion for fitness, so I did my Level 2 qualification with the Frame Academy, then trials came up for an Instructor role and... here I am!

Who’s your fitness hero? Why?

My fitness hero is Sara Sigmundsdóttir. Her determination, energy, grit and strength is incredible and always reminds me to never, ever give up.

What is your signature move / style?

I LOVE a burpee (sorry). I love that there are so many variations and challenges you can do with them so there’s an option for everyone! You’ll love them too by the end of my class...

What makes you, you?

Something you might not know about me is that I used to do Latin American dancing and I’ve danced in the famous Blackpool Tower ballroom five times (and yes, I am obsessed with Strictly Come Dancing).

What does your downtime look like?

Good food, good drink (mine’s a piña colada please), friends, family and a weekend away in our campervan. Bliss!

How does your choice of exercise fit your day to day life?

I absolutely love getting outdoors, whether that’s running, hiking or a gentle long walk (even better in the sun, come on weather). There’s something really relaxing about it and it's so beneficial for my mental health. I also love weight training as it makes me feel so strong and powerful. Exercise in any form makes me feel energised, happy and fulfilled.

What’s your favourite way to keep a healthy body and a healthy mind?

Good sleep, water, nutritious, nourishing and delicious food and a healthy dose of me-time.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

If it’s meant to be, it will be.
