HIGH ON HORMONES: MENSTRUAL CYCLE WORKSHOP

with Le'Nise Brothers

Do you want to learn more about all things hormone and menstrual health, including simple ways to support your menstrual cycle and period, including how to exercise for the four phases of your cycle? You’ll start this event with a talk with nutritionist, women’s health specialist, yoga teacher and author of the book You Can Have a Better Period, Le’Nise Brothers, that goes back to the basics of menstrual cycles and hormones and discusses how optimising your cycle can change the way you feel and improve your health and work life. You’ll come away with a better understanding of how the four phases of the menstrual cycle affect your work and personal life and how to harness the power of each phase. You’ll also gain a better understanding of how food and movement can impact the menstrual cycle and how to eat and exercise for each phase. This will then be followed by by a 90 minute long yoga class that will take you through a dynamic vinyasa flow that covers each of the four phases of the menstrual cycle, poses that will support the ebbs and flow of your energy and breath work to help support changing moods. Suitable for all levels – you’ll leave the class with a better understanding of how yoga can support you wherever you are in your menstrual cycle.
